나는 신입 사원이다.

I'm the new recruit.

나는 취업되어 일하고 있다.

I am at work.

나는 사무원이다.

I am an office worker.

나는 지금은 컴퓨터 회사에서 근무한다.

Now I work for a computer company.

나는 일 주일에 5일 근무한다.

I work five days a week.

우리는 3 교대제로 근무한다.

We work on a three- shift system.

우리 회사의 근무 시간은 오전 9시부터 오후 6시까지이다.

The working hours of my company is from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
 
나는 오전 9시부터 오후 5시까지 하루에 8시간 일한다.

I work eight hours a day from 9 a.m. to 5 a.m.
 
8시 까지 직장에 출근 한다.

I get to work by 8 o'clock.
I report for work by 8 o'clock.
I punched in by 8 o'clock.
I start my work at 8 o'clock.
 
아침 일찍 출근 준비를 했다.

I got ready for work early in the morning.

출근하는 데 10분이 걸린다.

I commute for 10 minutes to work.

나는 지하철로 통근한다.

I commute by subway.

집에서 사무실까지 지하철로 한 시간 정도 걸린다.

It takes about one hours from my home to the office by subway. 
From home to the office it takes me about an hour altogether.
 
나의 회사는 아주 가까운 곳에 있다.

The company I am working is just a stone's throw.

걸어서 7분 걸린다.

It's seven minute's walk.

아파서 직장에 지각했다.

Since I was sick, I reached my company late.

12시에 한 시간동안의 점심 시간이 있다.

We have a one-hour lunch break at 12 o'clock.

일이 익숙해 질 때까지는 무척 바빴다.

I had been busy until I got acquainted with my job.

일에 익숙해지고 있다.

I'm getting used to the work.

쉬지 않고 일 했다.

I worked without a break.

나는 소매를 걷어 부치고 열심히 일했다.

그 일은 솔직히 말해서 나한테는 버거운 일이었다.

다음 달에 더 많은 월급을 받게 될 것이다.

월급이 인상되어 기쁘다.

요즈음은 경기가 좋지 않다.

Business is very slow recently.

사장님에게 월급 인상을 요구했다.

I asked my boss for a raise.

나의 성공에 대해 겸손할 것이다.

I'll be very modest about my success.

요즈음 우리 회사는 사업이 잘 되고 있다.

My company is doing well recently.

가능한 빨리 승진하고 싶다.

I want to get promoted as soon as possible.

사장님이 나를 부장으로 승진시키셨다.

The boss raised me as the department manager.

나는 내 직업에 자부심을 가지고 있다.

I take pride in my work.

나는 사장과 사이가 좋지 않다.

I don't get along well with my boss.

사장은 나를 꼼짝 못하게 한다.

The boss has me under his thumb.

사장에게 불만이 많았다.

I had a lot of complaints about my boss. / I am full of complaints about my boss.
 
다른 동료들도 사장에게 터 놓고 이야기하고 싶어했다.

Other companies wanted to open up to the boss.
 
아무도 고양이 목에 방울 다는 일은 하지 않으려고 했다.

Nobody wanted to bell the cat.

나는 내 일에 열의가 없어졌다.

I got uncommitted to my work.

나는 다음 주에 서울로 전근을 갈 것이다.

I'm going to be transferred to Seoul next week.

더 좋은 직장을 찾을 때까지 지금 직장에 그대로 있기로 했다.

I decided to hang on to my present job until I find a better one.
 
6시에 퇴근을하여 7시까지 집에 들어간다.

I leave the office at 6 o'clock and come home by 7 o'clock.
 
오늘은 야근을 해야했다.

Today I had to take a night duty.

일을 마치고 집에 돌아 갔다.

I called it a day and went home.

오늘은 쉬는 날이다.

I'm off (duty) today.

오늘은 오전 근무만 했다.

I worked the morning shift today.

며칠 간 쉬었으면 좋겠다.

I want to have a few days off.

나는 일 주일에 이틀을 쉰다.
I have two days off each week.

내일 쉴 것이다.

I'm going to be off tomorrow.

OUT OF WORK :: 실직

직장을 그만 둘 것이다.

I am going to quit my job.
I am leaving the company.

마침내 나는 일을 그만 두었다.

At last  I ceased working.

게을러서 해고당했다.

I was dismissed[got fired] because of my idleness.

나는 실직했다.

I lost my job.

나는 지금 실업자이다.

I am out of work.
I have no job.
I'm not employed now.
I'm unemployed now.
 
자주 직장을 옮기는 것은 바람직하지 못하다.

It's not desirable to change jobs frequently.

나는 이 직장 저 직장을 전전했다.

I jumped from one job to another.
